How to Manage ANC Button and Your Digital Crown on AirPods Max?

 AirPods Max is one of the recently introduced audio products by Apple. The company presents this dynamic product with a steep price tag.

The product is a premium over-ear headphone branded by Apple having tons of features and specifications like noise cancellation, spatial audio, and adaptive EQ.

Sometimes the default direction of the Digital Crown doesn’t work smoothly. If that’s the case with you, then here is how to change and control ANC or Activate Noise Cancellation button and the Digital Crown:



Steps to Change Your Digital Crown on AirPods Max

In case you like to change or make some customizations on the direction of your Digital Crown in AirPods Max, you have to follow some workarounds on your iOS devices running over iOS 14.3 or iPadOS 14.3. You can’t do the same on Mac running with macOS Big Sur or Apple TV with tvOS 14.2.

Follow these straightforward steps if you want to change the Digital Crown on your AirPods Max:

  • First of all, open the Settings app on your device.
  • Hit the Bluetooth option there.
  • Search for the AirPods Max from the device’s list.
  • Hit the “i” icon located just after AirPods Max once they are connected.
  • Tap the Digital Crown option.
  • Choose the option you like:  Back to Front or Front to Back.

Steps to Change Your Active Noise Cancellation Button Cycles Through

AirPods Max also comes with a tab that toggles Active Noise Cancellation or Transparency mode. You can make customizations only between your Transparency and New Cancellation sections. If you wish, you can also disable even ANC entirely using the appropriate tab. Here are the steps to follow:

  • First of all, you have to open the Settings app on your iOS device.
  • Then, press the Bluetooth option there.
  • Search for your AirPods Max by navigating the device listing.
  • After that, hit the “i” icon situated just after the AirPods Max option once they are connected.
  • Go to the “Button Cycles Between” section and then hit the Off tab to choose the same.
  • You can easily deselect Transparency and Noise Cancellation features on your device if you want to do the same.
  • Here, once you tap the Noise Cancellation tab, it will automatically cycle through Transparency, Noise Cancellation, and Off.

Search for the AirPods Max, tap the “i” icon followed by the tool you want to manage like Digital Crown and Button between Cycles.
