- You need to download the McPreInstall application.

Fix 4: Fix DNS( Domain Name System) Error
You would not be able to install McAfee if your Domain Name System is slow. You need to switch your network to a public server.
- Locate and run the Control Panel.
- Choose Network and Internet.
- Tap on Network and Sharing Center to review adapter settings.
- On the left column, tap on Change adapter settings.
- Double-click on your Internet provider to open the Status.
- Choose Properties from the lower-left corner.
- Tap on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and choose Properties.
- Check the radio icon in front of Use the following DNS server address.
- Note down your alternate and preferred DNS server in the particular space.
- Google Public DNS address: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
- Open DNS address: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
- Press OK when you are done.
