How to Access and Watch Netflix on Wii Console

If you have a Wii console that you do not use, then setting it up to watch trending shows and videos could be the best idea. Although at the beginning of this year, Nintendo discontinued the channels on the Wii shop for original Wii console. But along with the games, Nintendo has also made a number of applications available for the console. These apps or channels are the reason you can access and watch Netflix on a Wii console.

Nintendo Wii is not as advanced as its successor, Nintendo Wii U, and Switch. Still, you can use it to watch Netflix if you will be able to find the Netflix channels.. Once you get the Netflix channel on your Wii console, you can log in with your Nintendo account and start watching. Here is how to access and watch Netflix on the Wii console.
 Finding and downloading the Netflix channel on the Wii:
1.   Start your Wii console.
2.   Go to ‘Wii Shop Channel’ from the Wii home menu.
3.   Choose ‘Start.’
4.   Then go to ‘Start Shopping.’
5.   Open ‘Wii Channels’ menu.
6.   Now, look for the ‘Netflix’ channel.
7.   Scroll down, if it does not appear.
8.   Select ‘Netflix’ when you find it.
Note: In case, the Netflix channel still doesn’t appears to you, go to ‘Titles you have downloaded’ and look for it there. Use the bullet points to reach there.
·      Go to ‘Wii Shop Channel’ from the Wii home menu.
·      Choose ‘Start’ and then ‘Start Shopping.’
·      Look for ‘Titles you have downloaded’ option and open it.
 9.   After that, choose the ‘Free’ option.
10.  You’ll be prompted to choose from ‘SD card’ or ‘Wii System Memory.’ Choose an option where you want to save Netflix.
11.  Select ‘OK’ option and then ‘Yes.’
12.  You should now see Netflix channel downloading to your Wii console.
13.  Wait until it downloads, and the ‘Download Successful’ notification appears.
14.  After that, select ‘OK.’
15.  And go to ‘Wii Menu.’
16.  Look for ‘Netflix Channel’ and select it to launch.
Once Netflix Channel will start on your console, go to the ‘Sign In’ option and insert your Netflix account details to start streaming videos, shows, and movies on your Wii.
 How to troubleshoot the Netflix issues on Wii console
If Netflix has stopped working and you’re not able to watch Netflix channel on your Wii console, try these tricks.
1.   Use the ‘Try Again’ option, if the error says, “Unable to connect to Netflix.”
2.   If this did not work, go to ‘More Details’ and select ‘Deactivate.’ Then sign in to Netflix again and try watching a video.
3.   Check the internet connection and try to keep your Wii console nearer to the router.
4.   If you’re watching Netflix over Wi-Fi, connect it through an Ethernet adapter, and then check.
