You may require highlighting information that you feel necessary to present in your meeting or project file. For this purpose, you can add a text box or different shapes with various backgrounds to make your eyes much catchy and presentable.
Google Docs has a simple yet effective tool to add a text box in your document file and emphasize on specific text that you desire. But one may get confused by knowing the fact that you need to access drawing tool to insert a text box, which many people don’t figure out at first instance. To add Textbox in your Docs file follow given steps.
  1. Select “Insert” from the document menu.
  2. From the Insert menu choose “Drawing.”
  3. Select the “Textbox” icon here (It is a “T” shape in a square box).
  4. Drag and drop the “Text Box” on the screen where you wish.
After creating a text box, you can type your content inside the box which you feel is essential and should be more highlighted.
Now after adding text into your “Textbox” you may desire to change the color of the text or the background of the Textbox. So to do editing on your TextBox, you can use the toolbar and design the TextBox as you satisfy. There are various tools on the toolbar to polish your TextBox like bold, italics, bullets and many more use what pleases you and satisfies your needs.
When you have finished your editing and pleased with it, select “Save & close” and place the newly created “Text Box” where you prefer. Also sometimes after completing the project, you may feel a need of adding or removing content from the box. So if that is the case just double-click on the Textbox that will bring the edit tools back and after editing you can again press “Save & Close.”
